Terms of Service

Who this is

“We”, “us” and “pullme” mean the operator of this product, named further down in “Who’s responsible for this” — the same person accountable for your data on our Privacy page. “You” means whoever created an account: a site owner subscribing a language, or someone who bought a translated document. A visitor who only reads a page pullme translated isn’t a party to this agreement, but the acceptable-use section below still applies to them.

The service

pullme finds a human translator for your website, in the languages you choose, and has every sentence checked by a person before it reaches a visitor — never an unchecked machine translation served as if it were final. Once a language is live, we deliver it however fits your site: a short embed snippet you paste in, our WordPress plugin, or a proxy that serves the translated page at its own address. Which one applies depends on how your site is built; we’ll tell you which at setup.

A language you haven’t subscribed can still be shown on request using an unchecked draft, clearly so a visitor and a search engine can tell the difference — subscribing is what turns that into a language a named translator actually holds and checks.

Subscriptions and pricing

A subscription is priced per language, by how much your site changes — not by how much traffic it gets, and not by word count. The table below is exactly what checkout charges.

Every tier above “still” is adjusted to where your customers actually are, so the same tier can cost less in a lower-income market — never more than the price above. “Still” is a flat $5 a language everywhere and is never adjusted; it is also the least any subscribed site is ever charged in a month. Adding a language is billed on top, at the price of whichever tier you choose for it — languages are never pooled into one site-wide fee.

You can cancel anytime from “Manage billing” in your account menu, which opens Stripe’s own billing portal — update your payment details, see your invoices, or cancel there. Charges already made are not refunded when you cancel; a language you unsubscribe from stops being guaranteed and stops being checked going forward.

Translator of record and handover

A language you subscribe to is held by one named translator at a time, the translator of record — her checked work is what your visitors see in that language, and only hers, for as long as she holds it. If a language changes hands, the outgoing translator’s work stays hers; nothing of it is copied to whoever holds the language next, who starts fresh. We may reassign who holds a language when we need to in order to keep the service running, and we’ll tell you when that happens.

A language nobody has been assigned to yet is still shown to visitors — as an unchecked draft, never billed as if it were checked — until a translator takes it up.

Buying a document

A translated document — uploaded rather than a website page — is sold once, for a price its translator sets (or, if nobody holds it, the price we set) and quoted to you before you pay. Payment is a single one-time charge through Stripe Checkout, not a subscription, and your download becomes available once the payment completes.

If the document you were quoted changes hands to a different translator before you pay, that quote expires and we issue a new one — the price you were shown was hers, and a new holder means a new price. We’ll let you know if this happens to a quote you were given.

Refunds on a document purchase are handled by writing to pullme@noproduct.com — there is no self-service refund button. If we refund a purchase in full, your download access is removed at the same time; a partial refund leaves your download in place, since the file was already delivered.

Acceptable use

• Don’t use pullme for content that’s illegal where you or your visitors are.
• Don’t attempt to bypass the rate limits on the free preview or the embed, or use either to scrape or resell translations in bulk.
• Don’t impersonate another site, translator, or account holder, or misrepresent who you are when applying to translate.
• Don’t attempt to interfere with, disable, or gain unauthorised access to any part of the service.

We can pause or close an account that breaks these rules, consistent with the termination section below.

Availability

pullme is provided as-is and as-available. We don’t offer an uptime guarantee or a service-level agreement, and we don’t promise that translations, the embed, the proxy, or the WordPress plugin will be free of interruption or error. Human translation also isn’t instant — a new or changed sentence is shown as an unchecked draft until a translator gets to it, and we don’t promise a fixed turnaround for that either.

Liability

To the extent the law where you are allows it, pullme’s total liability to you for anything arising from these terms or the service is capped at the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we’re not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss — lost profits or lost data, for example. Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

Termination

You can stop using pullme and cancel any subscription at any time, the same way described above. We can suspend or end your access if you break the acceptable-use rules, if a payment fails and isn’t fixed within a reasonable time, or if we stop offering the service. Either way, what happens to your data afterwards is covered by our Privacy page’s retention section — deleting your account removes your personal details; it doesn’t erase money a translator already earned for work she completed for you.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, we’ll move the effective date at the top and, where we can, tell you directly rather than leave it to be noticed. Continuing to use pullme after a change takes effect means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
